What you get

Session restoration

Close Noctty and reopen it to the same windows, tabs, and splits, with their working directories, profiles, and titles. Each pane can run its own shell: PowerShell, cmd, Git Bash, or WSL.

Universal palette

One shortcut lists actions, tabs, panes, profiles, themes, and settings. Type part of a name, press Enter. Nothing in it needs the mouse.

Native settings

A settings window for appearance, shells, keybindings, privacy, and updates. It writes only the lines you changed, so your comments and ordering survive. Or edit %LOCALAPPDATA%\noctty\config.ghostty directly.

How it's built

Ghostty has no Windows app, so Noctty builds one around Ghostty's terminal core. Parsing, fonts, rendering, input, and shell integration are shared with upstream and track it closely. The Win32 runtime, windowing, tabs and splits, the settings window, and the updater are this project's own work.

Noctty is independent and not affiliated with the Ghostty project. Its identity, measurements, verification steps, and standing boundaries are on the trust page.

Updates are staged only after checksum and signature verification, and installed only when you start them. The project moves quickly, so read the release notes before you update.

Accessibility is partial, not complete. Terminal text, focus, selection, the command palette, and settings controls have UI Automation coverage. Screen-reader validation is still in progress.
